Conceptual designs have been drafted to show the vision of the future of Austin. Managed use will allow for recreational opportunities unavailable in the area currently. Those opportunities could include: camping, yurts, cabins, hot showers, picnicking, river access, lookout tower rentals, and safe hot springs use.

Managed use will eliminate or minimize soil compaction, vandalism, fire danger, crime, and unsafe hot springs use.
